Nature Hike

Samantha, Auntie Megzie and I went on a nature hike today at Breakheart. The weather could not have been more beautiful (for a winter day anyway). Although Samantha preferred the playground, taking nature photos and, of course the hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows to the actually hike (she claimed it was too crowded...)

A Trip to the Home Depot Kid's Workshop

I took Samantha and Sean to Home Depot where the first Saturday of every month they offer a kid's workshop where they build something for FREE. It's really so cute - you walk in get a Home Depot smock, building materials and at the end a certification of completion and a pin to put on the smock. The kids thought it was so fun and it was cute to watch them trying to use the hammer and screwdrivers.... they built a birdhouse/rain gauge.
