Wellness Day - Let's hit the beach!

93 degrees and sunny..... I called in "well" and Samantha and I packed a lunch and headed to Wingearsheek to play on the sand... we were not the only ones with this great idea - it was packed!!! We had a great time looking for shells, climbing the rocks and, yes, swim!!! The water was actually warm.... Samantha asked what I thought of HER ocean.... at least she thinks big!!

I hope everyone else had a great day - we sure did!!!

At home our little neighbor, Brianna, was selling lemonade and Samantha just couldn't keep herself away from the action... You could hear her yelling up and down the street "Lemonade, fresh, cold, Lemonade - get your fresh lemonade!" It was a riot. Brianna was selling it for $.50 a cup - seriously it was $.10 not too long ago... I guess even lemonade stands have to inflate their prices over the years......

Sunday morning Samantha and I trekked out to Franklin to celebrate Johnny P's 4th birthday! Samantha had a great time running around and watching out for the "shark!" Thanks for hosting a great party Jules!

Why do birds suddenly appear, every time you are near?

After a crazy weekend of running around Samantha and I were looking out the front window to see if it was raining.... suddenly a robin landed on our front lawn, followed by what must have been his family. They quickly flew across the street and as Samantha and I watched all kinds of birds starting joining in what must have been a "worm" fest or something.

I was elated that I at least knew the names of the birds we saw......nothing like a pop quiz from your 4-year old about nature. Samantha now believes that Blue Jays are the bullies of the bird world. They kept swooping down and pecking their fellow birds. Before we knew it, an hour or so had gone by...nothing like the simple things in life to make you relax and reflect on how good things really are. I have to say I've never taken the time to bird watch...

Time to Start Grillin'

Friday afternoon was so beautiful I decided it was time to bring out the patio furniture, then I decided that since the furniture was out, it was time to bring out the grill...well what good is getting out the furniture and the grill if I wasn't going to use them.....so I put everything to good use this evening and had a few dinner guests! How good does the first impromptu BBQ of the year taste...DELICIOUS!

Friday Night Fun!

A 70 Degree day, bright and sunny, Orioles are in town for the weekend....you say you have extra tickets to Fenway and want to know if I'm interested in a few dogs and some draft beer...now that's priceless... What a great time at the Sox game with Megs, Stephanie and Brian. The Sox came back from being down 0-7!! What a perfect evening for my first Sox game of the season!

Easter Egg Hunt

Weather threatened to cancel the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Hogan's house on Saturday, so spontaneously it was decided it would be this evening. All the kids lined up at the fence and then took off searching for 400 hidden eggs. What a fun evening!
