Random Day and a 3rd Sprinkle!

So sorry to have missed Julie's third sprinkle with all the scheduling craziness... It would have been nice to see the girls. I can't wait to meet her newest little girl in two weeks...

Managed to do some much needed yard work and took a spin around the lake - saw Grace for awhile. Sam and I are exhausted today - early to bed tonight!!! Monday mornings are always an adventure with my little ladybug!

Have a great week everyone!!

P.S. Congratulation Kim on your run!

Saturday - Just out for a drive....a long one

So getting home at 2:00AM last night was not such a great idea when you are expected in Connecticut the next day at noon, especially for a kid party!!! Samantha and I took a leisurely drive to Connecticut (a good two and half hours) to celebrate Wyatt (4) and Libby (2) birthdays. What a fun time! A Big Top Circus theme with clowns, moonwalk, pinatas, cotton candy, hot dogs and anything circus you could think of. Sonja what a great job - 36 kids at a party with no end time is no small picnic to plan.... Samantha hit it off with this little girl named Avery who happened to be her age with the same girly girl ideas of a good time!!! Two girls running around with dresses swinging, jumping and swiping cotton candy from the machine (too funny, they put a lot of thought into making that mission a success - look at me and my friend will swipe the cotton candy and then run off....) We arrived home at 10PM - Sam never slept a wink - boy did I wish she was old enough to drive as I could have used a nap!

Friday Night Fun!

Nana came to babysit, Samantha says "I'm not cool with this" must mean I'm heading out for the night... sigh....well I had tickets to Dave Matthews so I couldn't really cancel (unlike my little bro...) Great concert - it's been a long while since I've stayed out until 2AM!! Thanks Suzie-Q! I had a great time!!!

Lights, Camera, Action!!!!

I am so proud of Samantha!!! She did an incredible job and didn't miss a step!!! She was so excited and couldn't wait to get on stage. I, of course, cried because I was so proud. John took photos with his papa razzi style camera so I will have some photos of the actual performance soon. Here are a few....

Dance Dress Rehearsal

This morning I gathered Samantha and headed to the Melrose Middle School for Samantha's dress rehearsal (minus the actual costume). We were allowed to videotape the dress rehearsal, but not the actual recital so John came along and recorded it for future "Life's Most Embarrassing Moment videos." I have to say I'm a little worried - half way through Sam zoned out and repeated the same step over and over again...thankfully if it happens during the recital it won't be a big deal because she's in the middle and everyone will think she's supposed to keep kicking while everyone else is doing something different. LOL!!! I have a camera video of it and I wish I could figure out how to upload it because it's so darn cute.

Welcome Grace Marie!!!!

Congratulations to my cousins Anthony and Mindy on the birth of their first child, Grace Marie. After 21 long hours of waiting Grace gifted us with her presence this evening at 10PM!

Mom and Grace are well and the jury is still out on Daddy.... 8lbs 60z....

Pictures to follow

Welcome to the Family Gracie!!! We are thrilled!!!!!!!

Prom - Grand March

Ashley, although a sophomore at North Reading High, attended the Junior Prom this evening, so I thought Samantha would love to go and see all the young ladies in their prom gowns - boy was I right! Samantha could not get enough of all the beautiful hairstyles, dresses, flowers. The colors were amazing (yellows, greens, blues, prints, coral) and the gowns, well let''s say my prom dress would have been laughed at it was so modest in comparison... Is there something in the water that every teenager today looks like a super model????? Hmmm, maybe I did look like a supermodel of the 80's - LOL!!! I don't think so...

Last dance class...

So Friday was Samantha's last day of dance class for the season. For the last 15 minutes of class parents were allowed to come and sit in the studio to see the girls dance. I was so surprised at how well all the girls knew the dance routine and it was fun to see how excited they were to be performing in front of people. I got all teary-eyed and it wasn't even the recital for Pete's sake.... Can't wait to see what I do next week..... Stay tuned for pictures. We are excited!

The Circus is in Town

Samantha and I headed into Boston to see the Big Apple Circus (their mission is to invigorate the communities with the joy and wonder of classical circus through a unique shared experience created in their tent and through dedicated outreach programs in healthcare facilities and the community www.bigapplecircus.org/) performance of "Play On" with our friends. Samantha was enthralled with the Ringmaster who wore a cream and yellow costume and when the lights went out musical notes appeared all over.... Samantha told me she just had to talk to her. At one point the Ringmaster chats with Samantha and Samantha exclaims "I just love your sparkles!! Can I touch them?" She is too funny - I envision a costume designer when she grows up...
